Name:Sora
Birthdate:Nov 18
Location:United States
Character Name: Sora
Series: Kingdom Hearts
Gender: Male
Age: 15

Species: Human

Appearance: Sora is a typical lanky teenage boy, with rather untypical light brown hair that spikes all over his head, and bright blue eyes. You’ll almost always see him smiling. He wears a dark blue and red undershirt, with black pants, hooded jacket, shoes and gloves. He also wears simple metal shoulder guards, and most of his outfit is crossed with yellow belts. He uses some of these belts to attach a pair of red pouches, which he wears at the waist. Perhaps his most distinct accessory is a silver chain necklace with a charm in the shape of a crown, which he never takes off.

Personality: Sora’s outlook on life is very positive: he is curious about new people and places, eager to explore and try new things, and tends to believe the best in others. Sora is a real people person, and makes friends easily...he is naturally drawn to others, and as a result people usually respond positively to him. He is quick to offer up his services at defeating Heartless or being helpful in any other manner. While he is very accepting of others and willing to hear another side of the story, if you threaten any of Sora’s friends or a perceived innocent, he can quickly get violent. He has a very strong sense of justice, and is very defensive of those he cares about. It’s not easy to get on his bad side, but if you do get on his bad side, he’ll make you pay.

Sora is nearly always happy, always believing that things will work out for the best. This doesn’t mean he won’t ever get sad...he does suffer from occasional bursts of melancholy, usually from missing his friends or homesickness. He is genuinely touched by sad events. However, these moments of melancholy are few and short-lived. It’s not difficult to pep-talk him out of a depressive state.

All seriousness aside, Sora is a rather large dork. He’ll never pass up an opportunity for fun, be it singing in a musical, participating in a tournament, or making silly faces to make his friends smile. He’s got almost no sense of embarrassment or hesitation about performing or entertaining. He’s also got a big competitive streak and loves to prove himself, even in situations where he has little skill. Unfortunately, Sora can be defensive about his skills, and is easily offended if someone suggests that he’s bad at something. He can also be rather naive, and tends to jump to conclusions. It’s easy for more “adult” conversations to completely fly over his head. He’s not that great with computers, either.

History: Sora was born on Destiny Islands, and the night he was born, his heart encountered a severely injured heart...that of Ventus. The newborn Sora offered to heal his heart by connecting them, and Ven agreed. Sora would not see Ven again until four years later, when Ven’s heart came seeking refuge after an intense battle with his own darkness, Vanitas. Ven asked if he could sleep in Sora’s heart, and Sora accepted. Ven’s heart has been sleeping inside Sora ever since.

Sora continued to live a relatively normal life on Destiny Islands, growing up with his two best friends, Riku and Kairi. That is, until the night the Islands were attacked by Heartless, and the world was destroyed. In that moment when his world was destroyed, Sora was chosen by the Keyblade, a special weapon that responds to his heart. Sora was thrown onto Traverse Town, an entirely new world, where he met several new friends...including Donald and Goofy, who became his constant traveling companions.

From there, Sora, Donald and Goofy went traveling to a wide variety of worlds, searching for their missing friends and using their combined powers to battle Heartless and help people. Along the way, Sora found Riku and Kairi, but also found them to be in danger...both from the Heartless and from themselves. Towards the end, Sora had to remove his own heart in order to save both Kairi and the worlds. He succeeded in saving them, but in the process set a number of different things into motion. Having lost his heart, Sora was turned into a Heartless, but Kairi restored him to his original self soon after. Renewed, Sora, Donald and Goofy went on to close the door to Kingdom Hearts and save the worlds. However, once the worlds were saved, the trio continued on to search for their friends, Riku and King Mickey.

This led them into becoming entangled with Organization XIII, a group of powerful beings lacking hearts, called Nobodies. The Organization conspired to take control of Sora and use his powers to create a new Kingdom Hearts for themselves, so that they could obtain hearts. Through a series of events taking place in the enigmatic Castle Oblivion, Sora’s memories were erased by Namine, the Nobody of Kairi. After Sora defeated Marluxia, the Nobody ruling Castle Oblivion, Namine offered to restore Sora’s memories, and Sora agreed. Sora went into a deep sleep while Namine restored his memories. While the process was not supposed to take so long, the Organization’s continued meddling slowed the restoration and turned it into a year. When Sora finally awoke from his sleep, he was now 15, unaware of what had gone on in the Organization during that time, and now not remembering his stay in Castle Oblivion. Still, Sora and the others were determined to find their friends, and set off again.

In traveling the various worlds once again, the trio had to face off against what remained of the Organization, who were busy harvesting hearts from a variety of worlds in order to create their new Kingdom Hearts. In the end, Sora finally defeated the Organization and was reunited with his friends: Riku, Kairi, and King Mickey. He was also reunited with Roxas, his own Nobody, created from when he lost his heart. At the end of the battle, Kairi, Donald, Goofy and Mickey got home safely, but Sora and Riku were trapped in the realm of darkness. They had to defeat Xemnas, the leader of the Organization, one more time before finally being free. The two thought they would be stuck in the realm of darkness forever, until Sora discovered a message in a bottle from Kairi. The message brought out the light in his heart, and that light opened a doorway to home. Sora stepped through the door with Riku, expecting to head back home to his friends...but got a little sidetracked on the way.
